Another Strapya Post. :)

I found something even cooler! Stylus' (styli?) that are actually COOL. I have found that my DS Lite lacks anything special in the stylus department mostly because no one is manufacturing anything that is different. Someone just squeezed into the niche marketing for DS owners with a line of metal stylus' that are unique and interesting. There are hearts and butterflies for the girls, as well as wings and swords men would like. Check them out! I want the winged one (I'm not too girly.)

Shiny DS Decorations

In the same vein as the sparkly gem covered ketai are the sparkly gem-covered Nintendo DS Lites. I've seen pictures of decked out DS's before, but never a product I could put my greedy little fingers onto before. Thanks to Strapya I can get one and so can you! They have a new line of the same sticker-type gems that you can attatch to your DS Lite and make it as girly as you want. How exciting!

I want this one:

Follow Up: Cellphone bling

I really liked this one from Strapya. (I still swear by them!) They have a whole slew of cell phone decorations from sparkly to dark and gothic, to fun and some that are practical. This one is one of the ones in between it all. They have a nice line of stick-on gems in great designs, the one I'm refering to is Astroboy~ :) It's a fun twist on an old favorite. I just bought a new cell phone and have to see what I can decorate it with! LINK to STRAPYA

See how easy they apply:

Miniature MP3 Player

Strapya has another little winner on their hands in the form of a tiny MP3 player. This little guy has no internal storage, but if you use SD Cards then you can play up to 4gb. (I think that's the biggest Mini SD card size at the moment.) It's really reasonably priced too, at 14.99. That doesn't include and cards though. However, it is USB chargeable so you don't have to lug around batteries and worry about changing them anymore. It comes in pink, grey and white. Currently out of stock, you can have them e-mail you when it comes back into stock.

Did I mention you can attach a strap to it and hook it to your keitai? Kawaii!

Wire-tap blocker?

Are you constantly being harassed by bugs and wire-taps? Well worry no more! Strapya has a new device just for you. This little battery powered device is designed to block radio waves that transmit your cell phone conversation to their spy-erific destination. The actual technology behind it isn't revealed, so it must be *magic*. And some hefy magic at that, since the device cost $72.99. Better work darnit.

Beauty is just a cellphone away.

I'm known to pimp Strapya, but this one couldn't be passed up. I love cellphone straps. They help you express yourself in a fun and unique way. Most people here in the United States haven't caught on yet. But the Japanese have perfected them. Here are a set of very unique straps. They are advertised as a "Gals Secret;" referring to the Japanese Ko-Gal. Which is a glorified and stylized "Barbie Girl" or "Valley Girl." They typically have lightly died hair (chestnut or blond), extreme tans, crazy make-up and extravagantly decorated finger nails. Here are a set of make-up items miniature-ized to fit on a cell strap. Two colors of mascara and five if gloss come in two cap colors - gold or silver (They HAVE to match their outfits and cell phones.)

Boom!!

This alarm clock is no Clocky, but it would make me a little more excited to wake in the morning. I think it would be more likely to scare the crap out of me anyway. I try to ignore the "Denger" because the site it's for sale on has a limited understanding of the English language. I wouldn't want the cops to pop up in my house with this alarm clock on the night stand though - especially after the Mooninite case in Boston. Not only does it "explode" on you every morning, you have to disarm it in order to shut it off. I've been looking for something like this, I tend to have problems waking in the morning. Maybe a crazy Japanese alarm clock would do the trick. Available from my favorite site: Strapya.com for 31.11 - pricey, but who else has a bomb wake them up in the morning? (Ok, a fake one...)

Pachinko Mini's

Pachinko is a typically Japanese game. ( I know, I said non-Japanese post next time didn't I? Oops) It's a lot like a slot machine I'm told. Only instead of winning coins you win these little metal balls that are cashed in for prizes. Now, what is to stop you from bringing in your own pachinko balls and handing those in I'm not sure, but the one's I'm about to show you probably have no street value. The lovely folks over at Strapya.com have handed us another jewel. A miniature-ized version of the pachinko tub for you to carry around on you celly. As you can see, the slightly golden ball is the actual pachinko ball size and the rest are miniatures. If you want to play pachinko for real though, you'll have to head to a pachinko parlor in Japan. For some reason, they just haven't caught on here. . .

(A real Pachinko tub)

GachaPON!

Hee hee hee. Ok, so I suppose I'll have to pose something NON-Japanese after this one, but for now another toy from Japan. This mini gachapon ((Named for the small coin machines otaku and small children collect things from based on the noises it makes. GACHA is the noise of turning the coin and PON is the plopping of the capsule to the bottom of the machine)) machine hands out candy instead of toys, but it makes sense - who wants a toy that disributes more TOYS?? Available now at Strapya.com PON!

Mushroom Maven

My childhood dream of being Little Miss Moffat is now possible! Thanks to Japanese company Strapya, these nifty little Mushroom Stools are available for $13.50 (plus shipping and handling.) They come in four colors, Red, Pink, Blue and Brown. You can purchase one of your very own here. I'd need to carry this around everywhere with me if I ever manage to get to Japan. Sitting on my knees hurts like crazy.

EDIT (5-17-07) These were in Hana Yori Dango season 2! I bought one not long after I wrote these, and it's really fun. I was so excited to see something I own in a Japanse tv show.

WiiMote Mini

With all the hype surrounding the recent release of two new gaming systems, I find myself less than excited. More annoyed in fact, that my favorite blogs, forums, and websites are flooded with information about the Wii and the PS3. There out. People are buying them. Kids want them for Christmas. I get it. New technology will always be put out and we will always be fascinated with it. I believe that we just need to be calmer about it and realize it's JUST a video game system. That being said: I have found the perfect item for myself. I like the look of the Wii, I just don't have almost $300 bucks to drop on one and another 50+ for a game. So, to show my love of all things Japanese and my fan-hood of Nintendo I turn to: Strapya. Yes, the good folks at Strapya have the hook up on a dual-purpose item that I am DESPERATE to get my grubby little hands on:

The Wii miniature Wiimote safety whistle. What better way to say: "I love the Wii." than carrying this little gem around on your celly? Next order I put in at Strapya, this will be traveling from Japan to live with me.

Available
HERE for a mere 598 yen ($5.19)

Somewhere over...

Find yourself fighting that pesky little Leprechaun every time you try to snatch some gold from the end of the rainbow? Check out this new product for sale over at my favorite hang-out Strapya. I think they decided it was time to branch out into gadget selling. Who knows - maybe they'll be selling Thanko products soon. I'd love that.
